This is a well-written, terrific story with a nice balance between detail and pacing and with characters drawn prince;s developed with enough weight that you can really care about them.

Then came the endless trials and triumphs of a man whose skill and power could not be restrained…. Once it got started though, I was completely sucked in. Our customer reviews Jim Butcher delivers another masterpiece. So while Tavi and the people he travels with try to survive, Alerans try to do the same but none believes they can actually do it.

A lot of the fun in the first novels came from big personalities colliding, and from the sense of skill and resourcefulness shown by the protagonists during those collisions.

If I truly hated him, I’d give him the Crown. Also in Primceps Alera.

He’s a ruthless, murderous character who in past novels showed himself to be a pathetically poor judge of character. And while I didn’t particularly enjoy reading about the first part of their journey, they pulled a nice little twist on me at the end that made it all worthwhile.

Nov 25, Pages Buy. Fortunately here I am, describing the plot while trying to minimize the spoilers. Check out the top books of the year on our page Best Books of First Lord’s Fury Jim Butcher. While Jim Butcher approaches things by using chapters to break up the different threads of a story one chapter will focus on Tavi while another focuses on Isana, etc having so many different threads in teh story was starting to get hard to follow. Another superb book fhry the codex alera. Starting this pricneps was like a family reunion, and sure enough, everyone’s there.

There were moments when I was emotionally hurting because of what has happened to the characters, moments I suddenly perked up and my eyes enlarged in anticipation, moments when I felt complete satisfaction for a story furu to a close and moments I was thankful I had the next book because the one I had just read ended on such a perfect cliffhanger.
