Overall, If you like fantasy then you might find this book interesting. The videogame element is at its most obvious in the final book. I do agree that this trilogy was not anywhere as good as the rest of the overall story arc.

The plot is not too predictive nor does it hold year much thd suspense. After the new court magician, Jazhara is introduced to the Prince, Arutha, James is tasked with taking Jazhara on a tour of Krondor.
Jimmy is settled up, William also don’t change, but he wasn’t main character this time so maybe that’s the case. Pug’s son should be compelling; his story should be fascinating – but I can’t help but see him as some toy-sword swinging doctor doolittle! And more Jimmy, which is always a pleasure. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. Still awesome after all these books. I just felt this whole trilogy was totally unnecessary.
Feist, William Forstchen Narrated by: Jimmy is, as always, my favourite and I’ve grown quite fond of Jazhara as well. I am enjoying reading krondorr of Feist’s work, but after finishing this one, I am really looking forward to re-reading the books that I remember fondly from reading the first time around.

Having now read the sequence, it seems to me that this is evident in the style. The place they choose is surrounded by keondor woodland. My expectations are low, considering the rest of this series, but it’s been an age since I’ve read any new Feist so, fingers crossed!
Feist also has a knack for secondary characters that you become fond of. And what about gocs Crawler? In the city, a foretelling of the future is uttered. If you’re the type who wants to make sure you read every book by REF, grab this.

I will read the next Feist and keep my fingers crossed that this was just a blip. The plots themselves strike me as being episodic – teaar happens and then that happens then something else Feist, in one of the books, outlines the genesis of the trilogy – a game based on the world and characters of Midkemia. Character-wise, it is heavily reliant on Jimmy the Hand which previous books have made so vivid but it also adds in a relatively minor character from the Riftwar who is not as interesting as any of the others but still believable and stands on his own.
